A Message From The CEO

Rickey G Green is one of the original members of the Birmingham Health Start Plus (BHSP) program, and has been actively involved to the work of improving Maternal Child Health outcomes such as reducing infant and maternity mortality rates, and other poor perinatal results. Since 1991, he has provided valuable MCH leadership as the Chief Executive Officer of the BHSPI organization, and Project Director for the local HS Initiative.

The scope of the BHS program is the provision of MCH supportive services to pregnant women and their children, or women of childbearing age, who live in the program service areas.

Realizing that in order to receive the desired outcomes, such work cannot be done silo, BHSP uses the Teamwork approach with experienced, dedicated, and committed staff, and has forged valuable partnerships with an array of agencies, throughout the state. We remain committed to the cause.
